Strengthening the prevention and fight against corruption in driver training and testing

On June 22, information from the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch directing the Departments of Transport, Health, Home Affairs; People's Committees of districts and cities of Ca Mau to strengthen the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity and strictly manage the work of training, testing, granting and exchanging driving licenses in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 05/CT-BGTVT dated April 8, 2023 of the Minister of Transport .

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Transport to preside over and coordinate with agencies, functional forces, and the People's Committees of districts and cities of Ca Mau to deploy specific measures to strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity and strictly manage the training, testing, issuance and exchange of driving licenses.

The Department of Health shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Transport to direct medical facilities to conduct health examinations for drivers with a strict control mechanism, ending the situation of granting driving licenses to drug addicts and people who lack capacity, behavior, or health.

Assign the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Transport to review and prioritize the arrangement of additional civil servants and personnel in specialized departments responsible for driver training and testing to ensure meeting requirements in the current period, avoiding the situation where some departments allocate too few staff for this work.

Building a team of cadres and civil servants who are politically and ideologically strong, morally and lifestyle-wise pure, and professionally proficient in training, testing, granting and exchanging road motor vehicle driving licenses.
