Compared to the same period last year, the number of dengue fever cases increased by more than 3.3 times, hand, foot and mouth disease increased by nearly 28%, while malaria and hepatitis B showed a downward trend. As for Chikungunya - an emerging infectious disease - although not yet detected in Khanh Hoa, the risk of infiltration is very high, especially in the context of the locality attracting many domestic and foreign tourists, the erratic weather creates favorable conditions for disease-carrying mosquitoes to develop.

In particular, focusing on strengthening disease surveillance in the community, thoroughly handling outbreaks, proactively spraying chemicals and mobilizing forces to kill mosquito larvae periodically. At the same time, promoting communication to advise people to regularly clean the environment, remove objects containing stagnant water, not to self-treat when there are signs of illness but to go to a medical facility immediately for examination, diagnosis and timely treatment.
