The new Suzuki e VITARA 2025 has just been launched at the ongoing GIIAS 2025 International Auto Show in Indonesia, marking an important milestone as the company's first 100% electric vehicle. The car was developed from the eVX prototype and will be manufactured in India through the Maruti Suzuki joint venture. In terms of design, the e VITARA has a compact yet sturdy design, with a length of 4,275 mm and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm – suitable for urban traffic conditions in many Asian countries. The ground clearance of up to 180 mm helps the car adapt well to complex terrain.
The front of the car stands out with a design without a grille above, instead there is a large air intake in the front bumper. Large headlights integrate three LED daytime running lights. Other notable exterior features include fog lights in the front bumper, sturdy wheel arches, rear door handles arranged on the C-pillar,... Inside, the Suzuki e Vitara impresses with its modern design, including two large, seamless screens floating on the dashboard and a two-spoke, beveled-bottom steering wheel with integrated function keys, and square air-conditioning vents with silver borders. Another highlight is the sleek black center console, which incorporates a cup holder, gearshift knob, electronic handbrake, and auto-hold function. Storage compartments and USB ports are located just below.
In addition, the car has three-tone leather and fabric seats, along with mechanical buttons to adjust the air conditioning. Amenities include a single-zone automatic air conditioning system, wireless charging for phones, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, and heated rearview mirrors. e VITARA uses the new HEARTECT-e platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles, with two powertrain options including front-wheel drive (1 motor) and all-wheel drive (2 motors). The top-of-the-line version is equipped with a 61 kWh LFP lithium-ion battery, producing a total output of 184 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, allowing the car to travel about 500 km, according to NEDC standards. The DC fast charging system with a capacity of over 150 kW helps charge from 15–70% in just about 30 minutes.
Regarding safety, Suzuki is equipped with the Suzuki Safety Support driving assistance technology package reaching ADAS level 2 with many features such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, blind spot warning, cross-traffic warning when reversing, 360-degree camera and 7 airbags... The price of the Suzuki e VITARA 2025 has not been officially announced. Video : See details of the Suzuki e VITARA 2025 electric SUV.
