The PC version of Stellar Blade was officially released on June 12 and quickly became Sony's largest single-player launch ever on the Steam platform, surpassing all previous PlayStation exclusive titles' concurrent player count records.
According to SteamDB , Stellar Blade has set a new record with 183,830 concurrent players at the time of writing. This impressive number far surpasses Sony's previous hit titles such as Ghost of Tsushima (77,000 players), God of War (73,000) or Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (66,000).
Currently, Stellar Blade is maintaining 132,000 concurrent players, putting this game in 4th place on Steam's rankings, just behind the three familiar "giants" of this platform: Counter-Strike 2, PUBG and Dota 2.
Not only stopping at a record number of players, Stellar Blade also received nearly 3,000 "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on the Steam platform, proving the strong love and reception from the gaming community.

In fact, among Sony's games, only Helldivers 2 - a multiplayer-focused title - has recorded a higher number of concurrent players than Stellar Blade. However, Stellar Blade is still the absolute leader in the single-player segment.
Stellar Blade’s success is no surprise. A week before its official release, the game was already the number 3 bestseller on Steam. Even the demo version received a lot of praise.
Yoko Taro, the creator of Nier, recently joked that he regretted the collaboration between his characters and Stellar Blade developer Shift Up. However, now that the game is on PC, modders can get creative and add any costumes they can dream up to the game.
Notably, the PC version of Stellar Blade was initially inaccessible via Steam in over 100 countries. However, the game is now available in over 250 regions globally.
Along with that, the game mod feature is also strongly supported by the gaming community. Since the demo was released a few weeks ago, the developer community has quickly launched a series of mods to refine and enhance the game's features, bringing a more diverse experience to gamers.
Following the huge success of Stellar Blade, developer SHIFT UP has confirmed that a sequel to the game is in development.
