Napping at the office . In an interview with FT , Robin Zeng, chairman of CATL, the world's largest electric vehicle battery maker, said he naps every day at the office. Meditate 2 hours a day . Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, now chairman of financial services company Block, has a strict health care schedule. When he was CEO of Twitter, he walked 8 km, meditated for 2 hours and ate one meal a day. In 2018, Dorsey participated in a 10-day silent Vipassana meditation course, which included meditating nearly 17 hours a day. “It was extremely painful work, physically and mentally demanding,” Dorsey shared on Twitter at the time. Lose yourself in space . When he was CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos admitted that there were meetings that didn't last long. He used this time to let his mind wander and generate creative ideas. "When I sit down at a meeting, I don't know how long the meeting is going to last... The reality is that we can wander for a long time. Get a massage before midnight . If reading and meditating aren’t relaxing enough, Steven Bartlett, former CEO of Flight Story and creator of the podcast The Diary of a CEO, which has been viewed nearly a billion times on YouTube, says he also gets a massage around midnight. “I usually get a massage in the evening. Never work after 5:30 p.m. While some CEOs emphasize their tight work schedules, Shopify CEO Tobias Lutke once said he never works past 5:30 p.m. “The only time I work more than 40 hours a week is when I really want to. Josh York, CEO of home fitness company Gymguyz, said in an interview with Fortune magazine that he wakes up at 3:29 a.m. After a cold shower, York exercises for 90 minutes and then soaks in ice water for 3 minutes. “That’s what gives me superhuman strength,” York shared. Work out in a dark room . In a MasterClass course on how to use your time effectively, Disney CEO Bob Iger shares that he often works out in the early morning in a dark room. Working as a driver in his spare time . The CEOs of the two ride-hailing companies Uber and Lyft sometimes drive passengers themselves. Lyft CEO David Risher told Business Insider that he drives passengers about once every six weeks. “I drive to learn what customers experience when they get in a car, and why they choose us over other companies,” Risher said.
