Dr. Ho Vien Phuong, Vice Principal of the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the school has a plan for students to have Tet holiday for the year of Giap Thin 2024. Accordingly, students of courses 20 and 21 will start their holiday from January 29 to February 18, a total of 3 weeks. At the same time, before Tet holiday, students of these 2 courses will have 2 weeks, including a week to review for exams and a week for semester exams.
Students will have a relatively long Tet holiday after the end of semester 1.
Dr. Phuong shared: "The reserve week is for classes that the lecturers have not taught enough hours for personal reasons, so this week the lecturers will make up for it. If any class has enough hours, it will be considered a week off to review for exams."
For courses 22 and 23, according to Dr. Phuong, because the school year starts later, they will have a 2-week Tet holiday and before the Tet holiday, there will be 2 weeks of semester exams.
"The amount of time students get off for Tet is the same every year, from 2-3 weeks," said Dr. Ho Vien Phuong.
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Master Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of the Media Center, said that the school's students will have Lunar New Year holiday from January 22, 2024 to February 18, 2024, a total of 26 days.
"Right from the beginning of the year, the school has issued a teaching plan for the entire school year. It clearly states the exam time, New Year's Day, Lunar New Year and other holidays. At the same time, the school will notify students before each specific holiday," Master Dung informed.
It is known that students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology also have to finish the first semester exam before going on Tet holiday and every year they have Tet holiday from 3 weeks to 1 month.
Meanwhile, Van Lang University students will finish semester 1 on December 23, start semester 2 on January 9 and have Tet holiday from January 29 to February 18, a total of nearly 3 weeks. Hoa Sen University plans to give students Tet holiday from February 5 to February 18, 2024, a total of 2 weeks.
