Tickets for the show at Our Tampines Hub were sold out in just one hour. The show was a huge success. The Singaporean audience was immersed in the sweet, romantic melodies and raised their hands to show their love for the band. As soon as the first notes were played, the audience sang along to the band that once took Asia’s music scene by storm. The Danish band performed many songs that were associated with their musical career, including old songs such as 25 Minutes, Paint My Love, Out of the Blue, The Actor, Breaking My Heart…

In an interview with Channel News Asia, the three members Mikkel Lentz, Jascha Richter and Kare Wanscher were surprised by the warm affection that the Singaporean audience had for them. Referring to songs from many years ago, Jascha Richter, the band's lead singer, said: "It's amazing that we are still popular here. I can't believe that people want to hear us sing our old songs. We are very happy about that." The three band members affirmed that Singapore has a special place in their hearts. "When I first came to Singapore in 1994, it was a great experience in Asia. When I came back to perform at The Star Theater in October 2022, it was a great night. The atmosphere that night was very special," said Jascha Richter.

According to drummer Kare Wanscher, music is a powerful healer and can have a positive impact on people with dementia because even though you may not remember much, you can still remember old songs, especially songs you heard many years ago. For this reason, Michael Learns To Rock decided to return to Singapore with a concert to raise awareness about dementia. All profits from the concert will go to Dementia Singapore - a social service agency that specializes in dementia care, carer support, training, mentoring and fundraising.

Michael Learns To Rock was originally a four-piece band. They named the band after the King of Pop Michael Jackson and 1980s groups like Johnny Hates Jazz and Frankie Goes To Hollywood. The boys got off to a promising start after winning a talent show in Denmark in 1988 and their English-language songs landed them a record deal in the US.

However, the Danish band has made a strong impression in Asia for decades with countless hits with catchy and catchy melodies such as Sleeping Child, That's Why You Go Away and The Actor . Since forming in 1988, the band has sold over 10 million records, performed in packed stadiums and released a string of hit ballads that fans still know by heart and sing along to. To this day, despite having only 3 members, Michael Learns To Rock still performs in several Asian countries and is enthusiastically received by audiences.
