At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, Prime Minister Sonko and Senegalese leaders.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed an invitation from President Luong Cuong to President Ousmane Songko to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime in Hanoi in October 2025.
Affirming that Vietnam and Senegal have a traditional friendship and good cooperation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the motto of "working together, enjoying together, developing together". Vietnam is ready to continue sending agricultural experts to share development experience and support Senegal in ensuring food security with new and increasingly effective methods.
Noting that Vietnam has become an observer of the African Union (AU), the Prime Minister asked Senegal to support and act as a bridge for Vietnam to strengthen relations with African countries and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS); and continue to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese citizens and workers and people of Vietnamese origin to live and work in Senegal.

Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko expressed his pleasure at meeting Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; affirmed that Senegal always attaches importance to the friendly and cooperative relationship with Vietnam, hopes that the two countries will further promote delegation exchanges and people-to-people exchanges, and is ready to act as a bridge to promote cooperation between the AU and ECOWAS, and hopes that Vietnam will increase investment in the market of 400 million consumers in the West African region.
Prime Minister Ousmane Songko thanked Vietnam for its support in the agricultural sector and hoped that Vietnam would continue to assist Senegal in rice and cashew production.
He also appreciated the success of the agricultural cooperation model that Vietnam has implemented with other countries, hoping that Vietnam will continue to promote this model with Senegal and other southern countries.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges and high-level contacts between the two countries, continue to enhance trade activities, promote trade and investment, connect businesses and create conditions for each country's strong products to penetrate each other's markets; emphasize cooperation in the agricultural sector.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh invited Prime Minister Ousmane Songko to visit Vietnam soon and Prime Minister Ousmane Songko happily accepted.
