Dung Quat Biofuel Plant Ready to Start in November 2025

(QNgTV)- Dung Quat Biofuel Plant is expected to officially restart ethanol production for E10 biofuel blending in November 2025.

Dung Quat Biofuel Plant has a capacity of 100 million liters of ethanol/year.

The restart of Dung Quat Biofuel Plant is expected to be completed in November 2025. This is an important preparation step for Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company to implement the national roadmap for green fuel conversion according to the direction of Petrovietnam and the Government.

Currently, the units are focusing all their efforts on the electricity - steam workshop area, after completing the start-up of the main power station to supply electricity to the entire factory. Progress is strictly controlled every day, human resources are mobilized at the highest level to ensure urgent requirements.

It is expected that from November 2025, the factory will officially restart, producing ethanol for blending E10 biofuel, earlier than the Government 's roadmap.

With a capacity of 100 million liters of ethanol per year, the main raw material is dried cassava chips, Dung Quat Biofuel Plant will play a key role together with Dung Quat Oil Refinery in supplying biofuel to the Central market, contributing to ensuring energy security, reducing emissions and developing clean, environmentally friendly fuels.
