Bustling Dong Dinh Festival

On February 8 and 9, at the Tay ethnic cultural house, Dong Dinh village, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district, the Tay ethnic cultural and sports festival in Tien Yen district and the Dong Dinh communal house festival in 2025 were held. The ceremony included an incense offering ceremony at the communal house and the Long Tong (Going to the field) ceremony in the Dong Dinh communal house yard. The festival took place enthusiastically with folk competitions such as stick pushing, tug of war, crossbow shooting, throwing balls, and modern sports such as men's and women's volleyball and men's raft racing on the Tien Yen river. The Tay ethnic cultural and sports festival in Tien Yen district and the Dong Dinh communal house festival are not only cultural events but also an opportunity for the community and tourists to preserve and promote the cultural values of the Tay people, while experiencing the traditional cultural beauty in the vibrant space of Phong Du commune.
