Compiled from interviews with more than 250 of the world's fastest-growing companies, the book is divided into three parts corresponding to the three major strategies of global expansion: innovation, scale growth, and empowerment.

Readers will learn about the thinking of global companies that are leading the way in the new era of business as well as global entrepreneurs, the catalysts behind business success.

The book also outlines the commitments that global companies must make to support their international growth plans. At the same time, it highlights the importance of leveraging an “Agile” approach to localize market access and operations strategies, as well as how to manage complexity and create an organizational structure that is conducive to becoming a locally relevant company.

Ultimately, Global Class explores the key pillars that support growth: building effective teams, a management model that empowers local teams, and strategies for balancing culture when moving toward global scale growth. In the book’s introduction, which discusses localization strategies for going global, author Klaus Wehage said that one mindset that companies often fall prey to is “us and them.”

From market entry to international growth, the book provides a comprehensive toolkit of practical frameworks, providing a blueprint for how to build and manage a global business, helping companies “go global” faster and more effectively. Author Klaus Wehage hopes that the theories and lessons in Global Class will be taught in universities so that students can understand and apply them in their future startups.
