Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society and leaders of Quynh Phu district presented funds to support the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses for households in difficult circumstances.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Quynh Phu District Red Cross Society has carried out many meaningful activities, providing practical assistance to thousands of people in difficult circumstances. The District Red Cross Society has assisted 28,296 people with a total humanitarian value of over 17.6 billion VND.
Specifically, the District Red Cross Association at all levels has actively mobilized and called for funding from organizations and individuals to give gifts to disadvantaged households and Agent Orange victims during the Lunar New Year of At Ty with a total of 13,222 gifts, worth over 5.7 billion VND. The movement "Each organization and individual is associated with a humanitarian address" has been effectively implemented. The District Red Cross Association coordinated with sponsors to give thousands of gifts to families and students in difficult circumstances; gave free meals to patients being treated at Quynh Phu General Hospital. Supported rice, provided wheelchairs and crutches to humanitarian addresses as well as organized emergency relief for families in difficult circumstances.
In the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the District Red Cross Society surveyed, introduced sponsors and allocated funds from the Humanitarian Fund to support the construction of 44 new houses and the repair of 3 houses with a total value of over 4.1 billion VND. Along with that, it has done a good job of propaganda on disease prevention and environmental sanitation; organized voluntary blood donation festivals; tree planting campaigns during Tet; and taken care of people's health.
