Que Ngoc Hai's successful penalty kick helped the Vietnamese team open the score in the friendly match against Hong Kong (China). This was the first goal of the Vietnamese team under coach Philippe Troussier.

Ngoc Hai's goal came from a situation where Nguyen Quang Hai was fouled by an opposing defender in the penalty area. The number 19 midfielder of the Vietnamese team received a high pass from his teammate but was pushed back by a Hong Kong (China) player.
