On the evening of June 7, a fisherman from Quang Nam province suffered from acute appendicitis while fishing on the Truong Sa archipelago and was given timely emergency treatment.

Accordingly, while working on fishing boat QNa 94952TS, fisherman Tran Cong Nhanh (born in 1975, from Quang Nam ) had pain in the right iliac fossa and a slight fever. The fisherman received first aid at Thuyen Chai Island, then was transferred to Truong Sa Island at 8:00 p.m. on June 7 in a conscious state, with severe abdominal pain and mild abdominal distension.

After examination, testing and consultation with Military Hospital 175 , the patient was diagnosed with acute appendicitis at 21 hours, with the risk of peritonitis complications. Doctors administered intravenous fluids, used antibiotics and performed appendectomy. After surgery, the patient's condition was stable and is being monitored and treated by doctors.
