Candy is sold out as soon as it is produced, there is no inventory."
Ms. Truong Thi Thanh (Cam Binh commune, Ha Tinh) shared: "When mentioning Ha Tinh, people often immediately think of the specialty candy cu do. Therefore, I often buy this specialty to send to relatives and friends in other provinces, cities and even abroad. Not only so that many people can enjoy the gift of my hometown, but for me, this is also a way for me to promote the traditional dishes of my hometown".
It was noted that on the last day of the National Day holiday on September 2, many Ha Tinh specialties such as pickled eggplant, dried seafood, fish sauce, rice paper... had strong consumption when they were chosen by tourists and children far from home to buy for use and as gifts.
At the business locations, the atmosphere is more vibrant and bustling when welcoming more customers than usual. This also shows that the quality of products is increasingly affirmed, creating prestige with consumers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Luong - a resident of Cau Dien ward, Hanoi: “Ha Tinh is my husband's hometown. Every time I go back to my hometown to visit my family and have fun during the holidays, I often choose to buy specialties such as cu do candy and salted eggplant to bring to Hanoi for my family to use and to give to relatives. Ha Tinh's dishes are rich and delicious, my family and many friends love them.”
The fact that locals and tourists prioritize choosing local specialties as gifts is not only a cultural beauty, but also contributes to promoting the consumption of local agricultural products, creating sustainable livelihoods for local workers.
