According to Tri Thuc - Znews , PVF-CAND will change its name to Hung Yen FC in V.League 2025/26. The name change is part of the team's new development strategy, after Hung Yen merged with Thai Binh . This change aims to expand the fan base and strengthen ties with the local community. In addition, the team is also rushing to complete a new brand identity.
PVF-CAND has registered PVF Stadium in Hung Yen as its home stadium for the upcoming season. The pitch, functional room system and lighting of PVF Stadium basically meet the requirements for professional competition. However, the current capacity of the stands does not fully meet the criteria according to the tournament regulations. In the context of urgent preparation time, the club has submitted a proposal to VPF and VFF asking for temporary use of PVF Stadium for the 2025/26 season, while committing to soon upgrade the infrastructure according to regulations.
Previously, after Quang Nam unexpectedly withdrew from the V.League, the promotion spot was given to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai, but this team refused. PVF-CAND was then invited by VPF to replace them and confirmed their participation. The team committed to sending the registration list before 10am on August 7, according to the required deadline.
The presence of PVF-CAND in V.League is expected to bring a new breeze to the tournament, thanks to its quality young players, professional training foundation and sustainable development orientation.
