At the meeting, reserve officers were informed by the leaders of the Pleiku City Military Command about domestic and international current affairs, and evaluated the performance of the city's armed forces in recent times. At the same time, the contents related to the plan to merge administrative units under the direction of the Central and local governments were disseminated.
The rearrangement of administrative boundaries of communes and wards will entail the need to adjust the organization and staffing of the militia and reserve forces. Thereby, it will require the consolidation and improvement of the quality of the grassroots armed forces, ensuring that they are always ready to carry out national defense and security tasks in the new situation.
On this occasion, the Pleiku City Military Command organized the payment of more than 135 million VND in responsibility allowances to 220 reserve officers. This is a practical concern, contributing to motivating the spirit and encouraging the reserve force to continue to promote its role in building the national defense.
Also at the program, 75 reserve officers were awarded promotion decisions. Of these, 4 comrades were promoted from Lieutenant to Captain, and 71 comrades were promoted from Lieutenant to Captain.
This promotion shows recognition and appreciation of the training, dedication and sense of responsibility of reserve officers for local military and defense tasks.
