Comrade Vu Quynh Khanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited households affected by floods.

According to the assessment, the flood that occurred on the night of July 26 and early morning of July 27 affected 180 households in Cam Duong ward, many of which were damaged or swept away.
Heavy rain damaged 9.5 hectares of rice and crops; flooded 3.5 hectares of fish ponds and swept away over 2,000 poultry.
Along with that, many transport and irrigation infrastructures were damaged. The total damage caused by floods is estimated at 7 billion VND.
Before the flood, local authorities had directed the urgent evacuation of 133 households living in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to safety, so there were no human casualties.
After the floods, the locality mobilized nearly 300 people including military, police, militia and mass organizations to respond and help people overcome the consequences of the natural disaster. Up to now, people's lives have basically stabilized again.

At the working session with the Party Committee and authorities of Cam Duong ward, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Vu Quynh Khanh highly appreciated the locality's initiative in effectively applying the 4 on-site motto, which has helped the government and people minimize the damage that occurred.

At the same time, he suggested that local authorities have a coordination mechanism; study the establishment of militia teams in communes and wards to proactively respond to natural disasters.
At the same time, he requested local authorities to continue to accompany and help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, especially supporting families whose crops were buried; poultry were swept away; and promptly repairing infrastructure works damaged by floods.
