Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Rah Lan Chung: Phu My Dong Commune needs to promote its role as a key commune

(GLO)- On the afternoon of July 9, Comrade Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Gia Lai province visited and inspected activities in Phu My Dong commune.

Phu My Dong commune is arranged and formed from the administrative units of My Tho, My An and My Thang communes, with a natural area of ​​about 85.62 km²; the total population of the commune is 43,428 people. Currently, the commune has 27 villages, located in the coastal border area, with a strategic geographical location, playing the role of a key commune of the province.

After coming into operation, Phu My Dong commune immediately deployed tasks to stabilize the organization, arrange personnel and prepare for the commune Party Congress. In particular, the commune focused on administrative procedures for organizations and citizens. In the first 5 days of operation, the commune received 26 dossiers and implemented the settlement in accordance with regulations.

Regarding the tasks for the last 6 months of the year, immediately upon receiving the socio -economic targets from the provincial level, Phu My Dong has developed and implemented solutions to complete the assigned targets. In particular, the commune set a target for the last 6 months of the year to increase total product by about 6.7%, and total state budget revenue by about 7.1 billion VND.

The commune focuses on exploiting its strengths such as applying high technology in agriculture, livestock and aquaculture; at the same time, it sets out tasks and solutions in the fields of culture and society, government building and internal affairs, anti-corruption, waste prevention, Party building, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

However, in the process of operation, Phu My Dong commune is initially facing some difficulties such as large area, large population, many long-standing complicated problems, especially related to land.

In addition, the commune is a locality that is implementing key projects of the province, so the workload is very large and the requirements are very high, while currently there is a shortage of 13 positions, especially civil servants with high technical expertise in information technology, agriculture , industry, and tourism.

In addition, facilities and equipment do not meet task requirements; 14 cadres transferred from the province and district to the commune have not been arranged official housing.

Therefore, the commune recommends that the province promptly supplement the vacant staff, especially pay attention to arranging highly qualified civil servants in economic fields to ensure the successful completion of key commune tasks.

At the same time, the commune also proposed that the province support funding, invest in construction, upgrade facilities, equip machinery and equipment for work; arrange public housing for officials and civil servants living far away to stabilize their work.

Through the inspection, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Rah Lan Chung highly appreciated the efforts and determination of the cadres and civil servants of Phu My Dong commune after 9 days of operating the new model; at the same time, noted that the commune must continue to make more efforts to overcome difficulties so that the new apparatus can operate more effectively, meeting the expectations of the people.

In particular, Phu My Dong commune is a locality with many key projects being implemented, expected to be a model for marine economic development. To promote the role of a key commune, Comrade Rah Lan Chung requested Phu My Dong to strengthen solutions, including calling for consensus from the people in each project and each program.

In addition, it is necessary to review regulations, functions, tasks, and assignments to consolidate and supplement vacant positions of officials and civil servants. Review all projects, classify and deploy specific solutions, with special attention to accompanying the people.

Regarding the commune's recommendations, comrade Rah Lan Chung requested that departments and branches promptly consider, resolve and create conditions for the commune to stabilize and operate smoothly.

There will be many difficulties ahead, but comrade Rah Lan Chung believes that with joint efforts, consensus and efforts to overcome difficulties, Phu My Dong will soon effectively operate the new model, promoting its role as a key commune in the roadmap to help Gia Lai rise up in the new era.

On this occasion, comrade Rah Lan Chung presented gifts to encourage the staff, civil servants and armed forces of Phu My Dong commune.
