This is one of three main events in a series of activities to commemorate the great contributions of Zen Master, National Master Nguyen Minh Khong; further deepening his great contributions in the field of Vietnamese Medicine and Pharmacy.
In his opening speech, Gia Vien District Party Secretary Le Van Cuong said that the locality is very honored and proud to be the birthplace of Saint Nguyen Minh Khong with a history of thousands of years, diverse and rich in heritage. Being aware of the preservation, conservation and embellishment of the cultural heritage values of the locality in general and the heritage of Zen Master, National Master Nguyen Minh Khong in particular not only demonstrates the morality of drinking water, remembering its source but also serves the research work, contributing to the economic , cultural and social development of the locality. In recent years, the locality has made efforts and determination to preserve relics, preserve and conserve unique features, cultural and historical values; determined to gradually focus on promoting tourism development, promoting traditional historical values, creating a driving force, orienting the socio-economic development strategy of the district.
District Party Secretary Le Van Cuong hopes that at the workshop, historical, cultural and scientific information about Saint Nguyen Minh Khong and the Vietnamese medical profession will be exchanged, shared and clarified; thereby deepening the role of Zen Master Nguyen Minh Khong as the founder of the Vietnamese medical profession; and his especially important role in the cultural and spiritual life of the community.
At the workshop, delegates focused their discussions on the following contents: Exchange of historical and scientific information to deepen the issue of Ninh Binh as a sacred medicinal land; Introduction of precious medicinal plants native to Ninh Binh and the land for growing medicinal plants; Exchange of research on innovation and development direction of local medicinal resources; Zen Master Nguyen Minh Khong with Vietnamese Traditional Medicine...
Some experts suggested that it is necessary to restore and upgrade the Nguyen Saint Temple Festival with the unique features of the Diem Giang Festival, which is large in space and long in duration, especially the palanquin procession and water procession, and to restore the Luc Khuc Sacrifice Ceremony with performances like the Cuu Khuc Sacrifice at the Dinh King Temple, raising the scale of the Nguyen Saint Temple Festival to a regional and regional scale to attract a large number of people from within and outside the country to participate.
Ninh Binh province needs to invest in restoring the giant Medicinal Garden on Gia Sinh, Son Lai, Son Ha land into a real Medicinal Garden, both a medicinal garden serving the people and a Minh Khong medicinal park serving visitors and selling tourism products worthy of the title of Holy Medicine.
