The period of 2020-2025 can be considered the period when rural agricultural infrastructure is invested very strongly by Quang Ninh province. The province has set out very specific tasks and solutions, which are: Completing and modernizing transport infrastructure, digital transformation, culture, education, health, clean water supply according to standards; upgrading and ensuring the safety of irrigation works serving production, preventing and combating natural disasters, river dykes, sea dykes, embankments against riverbank and coastal erosion; investing in upgrading industrial and service infrastructure, forming a network of circulation, preservation, processing, logistics, e-commerce in rural areas, urgently and resolutely handling and overcoming rural environmental pollution... Rural agricultural infrastructure has been invested, upgraded and completed in a synchronous, modern, interconnected and comprehensive direction, changing the face of the countryside and improving people's lives.
For nearly 3 years, Ms. Loc Thi Bien's family in Xom Moi hamlet, Luong Minh commune, has been using clean water for drinking and daily activities. This water source is provided from the concentrated water supply and production project that the province invested in since 2022 for 4 highland communes of Ba Che, now Luong Minh and Ky Thuong communes. Good water quality, strong water flow, and stable self-flowing water have improved the quality of life of Ms. Bien's family and other households in the highland area of Luong Minh. Luong Minh commune, from a commune with difficulties in water for daily life and production, now has clean water flowing to 1,400 households for daily life, drinking, and has a water source for production on an area of 100 hectares of 2-crop rice fields and crops.
Song Mooc Road in Hoanh Mo Commune was completed in 2020. Immediately after being put into operation, this infrastructure project has helped the entire vast strip of anise and cinnamon forests in this border locality to facilitate trade, traders come to the foot of the hill to buy star anise, people can rest assured to harvest star anise, using this as the main source of income to develop the economy . Mr. Tang Dau Phong, from a poor household in Song Mooc village, thanks to the consumption of star anise and cinnamon products, has not only escaped poverty, but also become well-off, building a new house. He said: Since traders came to the village to buy star anise, each crop, my family has earned over 100 million VND, enough to raise children and take care of the house.
In Ngan Chuong village, Luc Hon commune, in 2021, the road connecting National Highway 18C to Ngan Chuong village was built, electricity and clean water were also brought to the village. The completion of rural infrastructure here has erased the memory of a divided, isolated and poor residential area, replacing it with a more prosperous image of Ngan Chuong.
One of the new rural infrastructure projects invested and put into use recently is Khe Giua Lake. With the capacity to store over 7 million m3 of water, Khe Giua Lake irrigation project solves the problems of flooding in the rainy season and drought in the dry season, contributing to improving the living and production of people downstream of Mong Duong ward, ensuring water security, promoting socio-economic development in a large residential area.
Along with Xom Moi of Luong Minh, Song Mooc of Hoanh Mo, Ngan Chuong of Luc Hon, the downstream area of Mong Duong, all communes and villages in rural, mountainous and island areas of Quang Ninh province have been and are being renewed thanks to the rural agricultural infrastructure works that have been gradually invested, upgraded and completed in recent times.
Provincial statistics show that in the 2022-2025 period, the entire province has asphalted and hardened thousands of kilometers of inter-commune, inter-village, hamlet, and intra-field roads. The entire province has many bus stations. Communes, wards, and special zones have built people's cemeteries in accordance with planning, with grassroots broadcasting systems, cultural post offices providing postal services, BTS stations, fiber optic network infrastructure to each household... The province has also invested in 28 centralized water supply projects, built 17 more schools according to high-quality criteria, put into use 3 large hospitals, and established 10 rural markets. The province has implemented many projects and plans to develop housing for workers, poor households, and policy households so that rural areas do not have temporary or dilapidated houses...
Thanks to the effective infrastructure projects after investment, the appearance of Quang Ninh rural agriculture today is beautiful, rich, dynamic, agricultural production is promoted, farmers' lives are improved, the appearance of the countryside is renewed. Quang Ninh countryside has truly become a growth pole, contributing to making Quang Ninh rich and strong as the set goal.
