Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to identify key contents for tourism development in the context of many advantages in eco-tourism, agricultural tourism, sea tourism...; what policies are needed to attract investors in this field; continue to promote the effectiveness in creating the local image of Dong Thap in recent times, as well as integrate and advise on the value system of new Dong Thap people.

During the 2025 - 2030 term, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that it is necessary to identify tourism as a key sector, creating a "push" for tourism to transform dramatically in the province's economic structure. To do that, it is necessary to consider improving the quality of Dong Thap province's tourism products in terms of traditional, historical and cultural tourism, spiritual tourism, experiential tourism, environmental conservation; enhancing the experience for tourists, increasing revenue from tourism services...

In addition, the tourism industry also needs to closely connect with other sectors in investment, calling for synchronous investment in transport infrastructure, accommodation, typical products, environmental conditions, local identity and especially the readiness and professional participation of tourism establishments and people.

In addition, the Provincial Party Secretary also requested research and investment to promote new cultural life; at the same time, review all cultural institutions in the province to promptly repair and supplement; have solutions to effectively promote cultural institutions, especially community cultural institutions, to meet the enjoyment needs of the people.
