International visitors to Hue on the occasion of September 2nd holiday

According to the representative of the Department of Tourism , in the first 8 months of 2025, the number of tourists to Hue is estimated at more than 4.6 million, an increase of 68% over the same period last year; of which international visitors are estimated at nearly 1.3 million, an increase of more than 39% over the same period last year; domestic visitors are estimated at more than 3.3 million, an increase of nearly 83% over the same period last year.

The number of visitors also had positive changes, estimated at more than 1.7 million, up 24.5% over the same period last year, of which international visitors were estimated at more than 483,000, up 9% over the same period last year. Tourism revenue was estimated at more than VND 8,740 billion, up 57% over the same period last year.

In August 2025, the number of visitors to Hue was estimated at nearly 594,300, an increase of more than 50% over the same period last year; of which international visitors were estimated at more than 83,880, an increase of 25.5% over the same period last year; domestic visitors were estimated at nearly 510,400, an increase of more than 55% over the same period last year.

France is currently leading the international tourist market to Hue, with nearly 64,200 arrivals in 8 months, accounting for 13.5% of the market share of international visitors to Hue. Next is the US with nearly 45,200 arrivals, accounting for 9.5% of the market share; the UK with more than 36,200 arrivals, accounting for 7.6% of the market share.
