Actress stabbed to death at age 28

(NLDO) - Liu Jie, a Chinese actress, was stabbed twice by a drunk man and died in hospital. She died at the age of 28 and was preparing for her wedding.

The incident occurred on April 29, but it was not until May 2 that Chinese newspapers reported it. Liu Jie and her boyfriend went to Kunming to visit her grandmother in the hospital. When they left the hospital, they encountered a drunk man and had an argument.

The two argued, suddenly, this person took a knife and stabbed Liu Jie in the chest and stomach, her boyfriend was stabbed in the leg. Liu Jie was rushed to the hospital but did not survive, she was stabbed in the heart and spleen.

The 31-year-old suspect was arrested by police after a quick investigation. Liu Jie and her boyfriend had gone to Thailand to take wedding photos and had just returned home to prepare for their upcoming wedding when the accident happened. Many colleagues and fans mourned Liu Jie.

Liu Jie graduated from Yunnan University of Arts and is famous in the Chinese comedy industry. She is a comedian on the show "Chen Xiang 6:30" and participated in the movie "The Wind and Clouds of Wood".
