Farmers basically finished harvesting the 2025 Summer-Autumn rice crop

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, to date, farmers in the province have harvested nearly 255,000/266,800 hectares of HT 2025 rice, reaching more than 95% of the whole crop sowing plan, with an estimated dry rice yield of 54.5 quintals/ha and an estimated output of 1.39 million tons.

Last week, the price of rice (fresh) was stable, specifically, IR 4625 sticky rice from 6,700 - 7,000 VND/kg, IR 50404 rice from 5,400 - 5,500 VND/kg, Dai Thom 8 from 5,600 - 6,000 VND/kg, OM 18 from 5,600 - 6,000 VND/kg, OM 5451 from 5,300 - 5,500/kg.

Last week, pests on HT 2025 rice appeared such as leaf blight (466ha), leaf blast (295ha), grain sterility (81ha), neck blast (71ha), brown planthopper (10ha), mainly appearing on ripening rice concentrated in most communes and wards in the province; especially concentrated in communes and wards in Thanh Hoa, Can Duoc, Ben Luc and Tan An areas.

Rice prices were stable last week.

For the 2025 Autumn-Winter rice crop, to date, farmers have sown nearly 54,000/65,180 hectares, reaching 82% of the plan. Pests such as golden apple snails (743 hectares), rice blast disease (152 hectares), rats (136 hectares), stem borers (95 hectares), and small leaf rollers (80 hectares) appear mainly on rice at the seedling and tillering stages, concentrated in communes in the Tan Hung, Vinh Hung, Duc Hoa, and Duc Hue areas.

It is forecasted that the infected areas of rice blast, early ripening yellow leaf disease, grain smut, leaf blight, rats, etc. will decrease in the HT 2025 and Autumn-Winter 2025 rice crop at the heading and ripening stages. The infected areas of thrips, golden apple snails, leaf rollers, rats, leaf blast, etc. will increase in the HT 2025 rice crop at the seedling and tillering stages./.
