Although it was only established 4 years ago, in an FDI enterprise environment with many characteristics and many difficulties, the Labor Union of Lion Core Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. has quickly affirmed its role as a trusted "companion" of workers. Not only taking care of life, the Company group here also spread the spirit of humanity through closeness and practical actions.
When the eldest son of Mr. Tran The Duong, a worker in the punching department, suddenly contracted a serious illness (stage IV leukemia), the family's finances were exhausted. for the journey of treatment for his son . Understanding the situation, the Company's Union launched a letter calling for support, collecting nearly 40 million VND from employees and handing it to Mr. Duong right at his workplace.
“That concern has helped my family overcome difficulties. I have been given the opportunity to take care of my child and still be assigned a suitable job. The kindness of the union and colleagues is a great source of encouragement,” Mr. Duong emotionally shared.
Not only in Mr. Duong's case, in the past 4 years, Lion Core Company's Union has supported dozens of workers in difficult circumstances: illness, accidents, raising young children... With a sense of responsibility and understanding, the Union has truly become a bridge of love, a support for workers to feel secure in their long-term commitment.
The Company's Board of Directors also works with the Union, focusing on creating stable jobs, clear policies, and prioritizing the recruitment of local workers. Thanks to that, many workers have jobs close to home, ensuring income and conditions to take care of their families.
“Since the industrial park and company were established, I have been able to work close to home, have time to take care of my family, and have a much more stable income than before,” said Nguyen Hong Dang, a worker at Lion Core Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd.
Ms. Dao Thi Thuy, Chairwoman of the Labor Union of Lion Core Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd., said: “We organize regular dialogues between businesses and employees; record opinions and aspirations and have timely care policies. Many welfare programs, seniority bonuses, and support for difficulties have been implemented to retain employees and create sustainable connections.”
The story at Lion Core is not only a bright spot, but also a vivid demonstration of the irreplaceable role of the Trade Union – where workers are listened to, protected and shared.
Join hands for workers
Throughout the province, the Quang Ninh Trade Union is constantly innovating its methods of operation to protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. In the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor, together with trade unions at all levels, organized labor conferences in more than 67% of enterprises; directed the implementation of grassroots democracy in nearly 100% of agencies and administrative units.
The work of giving opinions on legal documents has been focused, including 7 draft laws and 14 documents directly related to workers. In particular, the online consultation on the amendment of the 2013 Constitution has attracted more than 3,000 union members to participate.
In addition to its representative role, Quang Ninh Trade Union also made a strong impression in caring for people's lives. During the Lunar New Year 2025, trade unions at all levels presented more than 68,000 gifts with a total cost of over 53 billion VND. The Provincial Federation of Labor organized a large-scale "Union Tet Market - Happy Tet", distributed nearly 24,000 OCOP vouchers at preferential prices, supported "Union Shelters", organized an online support program with vouchers for thousands of union members...
Not stopping at material, education, communication and legal protection work has also been carried out extensively. The whole province has organized 40 mobile legal propaganda campaigns, 16 training sessions on social evil prevention, 571 political conferences "Learning from Uncle Ho makes our hearts purer", 14 occupational safety and hygiene training courses, along with thousands of billboards and posters promoting occupational safety.
In particular, "Workers' Month" in 2025 has become the climax of action for the entire trade union system: 210 dialogue programs between workers and Party committees, authorities and enterprises; hundreds of outstanding collectives and individuals were commended; thousands of gifts were delivered to workers in difficulty...
The Provincial Federation of Labor also coordinated to organize a meeting and dialogue between provincial leaders and 500 union members and workers across the province - a democratic and practical forum to listen, acknowledge and act.
From small but loving things such as timely support, sincere greetings, cheap OCOP shopping vouchers… Quang Ninh Trade Union is affirming its position as a place where workers can place their trust every day. That is also the motivation for each worker to be more attached to the profession, to the enterprise and have confidence in the future.
