To avoid light, workers must use protective clothing, hats, and caps.

Even resting under the shade of trees is not easy. However, for them, taking a nap to regain strength to continue working in the afternoon is more important.

“No one wants to sleep on the sidewalk under this scorching heat, but there is no other choice. The distance from home to the center of Ha Tinh city is far, it takes a lot of time to go back and have lunch. After thinking it over, taking a nap on the sidewalk is faster and more convenient for work,” said Nguyen Thi Lien (born in 1985, residing in Ho Do commune, Ha Tinh city).

Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Lan (born in 1982, residing in Thach Khe commune, Ha Tinh city) shared that at first she was not used to resting on the sidewalk. She was about to take a nap when the sound of vehicles passing by woke her up, but after a while she got used to it and now sometimes "it's harder to sleep without the sound of vehicles".
