Investor representatives and engineers research solutions to speed up the construction progress of the North-South railway overpass and the roads at both ends of the bridge on the East-West Highway.

After days of rain due to storm No. 5, the construction sites of the North-South railway overpass and the roads at both ends of the bridge on the East-West Highway (Hac Thanh Ward) have returned to a more bustling and urgent pace than usual. Started on May 19, 2024, overcoming many difficulties in site clearance, rising prices and scarcity of construction materials, etc., the investor and construction units have made efforts to ensure the project's progress as planned.

The North-South railway overpass and the roads at both ends of the bridge on the East-West Highway have a construction cost of over VND510 billion, invested by the Dong Son Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board. The construction contractor is a joint venture between Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company and Minh Tuan Construction Investment Joint Stock Company.

It is known that the first mixed cable girder bridge in Thanh Hoa province, the North-South railway overpass has a total length of 276.5m, a width of 22.5m, with 4 lanes for motor vehicles, a median strip and 2 mixed lanes. After completion, the project will contribute to reducing traffic pressure at the intersections of the western gateway of the provincial capital. At the same time, connecting the East-West Highway, gradually modernizing the traffic infrastructure, better serving the needs of the people. Notably, the bridge is designed with an artistic lighting system thanks to the cable-stayed item. Therefore, the project is also expected to be a highlight of the landscape architecture at the western gateway of the Thanh Hoa provincial capital.

Project Commander Thai Hoai Ha said: "Under favorable conditions, the investor and the contractor consortium are determined and make efforts to organize the closing of the middle span of the bridge on September 11 to make an achievement to welcome the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025. In order to ensure the proposed plan, we have mobilized maximum human resources, machinery, and technical equipment to focus on construction work continuously day and night."

Nguyen Van Tuan, Head of Technical and Appraisal Department, Dong Son Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board, said: Determining that this is a key project with profound political , economic and social significance, over the past time, Dong Son Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board has focused on directing and urging contractors to speed up construction progress and ensure project quality. At the same time, it has guided and accompanied contractors to remove obstacles and difficulties, creating the most favorable conditions for project implementation.

The Children's Cultural Palace and the Hac Thanh Sports and Physical Training Center were inaugurated and put into use on August 29, 5 months ahead of schedule, as the "flower" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 and the 20th Provincial Party Congress. Immediately after the inauguration, many cultural and sports activities took place here, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere on the great festival of the homeland and country.

The Children's Cultural Palace and the Hac Thanh Sports and Fitness Center are located on a 4.1-hectare land in Vinhomes Star City Urban Area, and are the largest and most modern children's project in Thanh Hoa. The highlight of the Children's Cultural Palace is the 7-storey building, where chess, Chinese chess, musical instruments, dancing, aerobics classes are held... Meanwhile, the highlight of the Sports and Fitness Center is the swimming pool area designed with a beautiful steel-framed dome. Right next to the multi-purpose gymnasium is the outdoor water music playground...

In addition to completed and soon-to-be-completed projects, the first days of September also saw a bustling, urgent atmosphere at construction sites and projects that have just been started, such as the Asean Vietnam Ceramic Valley Project at the Van Thang - Yen Tho Industrial Park in Nong Cong and Yen Tho communes. Immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony on August 28, the investor, ETRILLION Ceramics Co., Ltd., under Hunan Hualien Ceramics Joint Stock Company (China), mobilized human resources and equipment to urgently construct project items.

The North-South railway overpass and the roads at both ends of the bridge on the East-West Highway are expected to create a new architectural and landscape highlight for the province.

The project has a total investment of over 5.1 trillion VND, divided into 3 phases, expected to be completed in 2030. Phase I will be implemented from August 2025 to March 2026. The project aims to produce ceramic products for daily use and industry, sanitary equipment with a total design capacity of about 170 million products/year. This is a large-scale project, applying modern, environmentally friendly technology, expected to create regular jobs for more than 4,000 workers and increase revenue for the budget. The project's commencement is a meaningful work at this time.

Not only in the transport and industrial infrastructure projects, the atmosphere is bustling and urgent, but also in the social security projects that are about to be deployed in the field. The preparation for the groundbreaking of the social housing project in Ham Rong ward is one of them. According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Cuong, General Director of Vinaconex 21 Joint Stock Company - representative of the investor consortium: "Up to now, all legal procedures related to the project have been completed. We are focusing our efforts to organize the groundbreaking of the project in early September 2025".

In fact, at the planning site 6275 in the Bac Cau Hac urban area in Ham Rong ward - where the project is being implemented, the joint venture of investors Viet Incons Joint Stock Company, Vinaconex 21 Joint Stock Company, Hanoi Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company has completed the installation of the concrete mixing station and components, machinery, ready to implement the project. Meanwhile, preparations for the project groundbreaking ceremony are underway.

According to Nguyen Manh Tuan, Head of the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management, Department of Construction, Ham Rong Ward social housing project is part of the Prime Minister's Project to invest in building at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2030. According to the plan, the project includes 4 25-storey social housing areas, expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2028. After completion, there will be 2,376 apartments for workers and low-income people with an expected population of 5,837 people. The Department of Construction is actively coordinating with the investor consortium to prepare to ensure conditions and organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the project before the 20th Provincial Party Congress...

Not far away, the social housing project in Hac Thanh ward is also being rushed to construction. The investor, Vingroup, is trying to speed up the progress, striving to complete it by the end of the year, contributing to solving the housing needs of workers and low-income people in the area.

These projects are concretizing the determination to serve and take better care of people's lives, promote socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security, and at the same time create more motivation and confidence for the whole province to enter the new term.
