TPO - From 8:30 this morning (September 10), Hanoi banned more types of vehicles from crossing Chuong Duong Bridge. Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) also announced that it would not run trains across Long Bien Bridge.

Accordingly, passenger trains on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route will change their schedules with Gia Lam Station as the departure and destination station.

At Chuong Duong Bridge, the Hanoi Department of Transport has restricted traffic on this bridge to ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles passing through the bridge due to the rising and fast-flowing Red River.

Additional signs have been added to the directions to Chuong Duong Bridge. Accordingly, from 8:30 this morning, for vehicles traveling from Hoan Kiem to Long Bien: Passenger vans, contract vehicles, and tourist vehicles with more than 9 seats are prohibited; trucks with a load capacity of over 0.5 tons are prohibited; buses are allowed to operate. In the morning, traffic from Hoan Kiem district to Long Bien district moved smoothly, the opposite direction was slightly congested. According to the authorities, the slight congestion was mainly due to the weather.

The sandbank area in the middle of the Red River is now flooded.
