Many universities open, award huge scholarships to students

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Associate Professor Ngo Quoc Dat - Principal of the school said that in 2025, the school will enroll 2,576 students but 17,975 candidates registered for admission, of which 2,720 candidates were admitted and 2,589 candidates confirmed their enrollment.

The school is currently training 11,217 students. In the 2024-2025 school year, the percentage of excellent students is 9.4%, good 20.7%, good 41.6%, average 18.8% and poor 9.6%.

At the International University (VNU-HCM), after attending the online ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of tradition and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year, the Opening Ceremony was also held to welcome more than 1,800 new students from 46 provinces and cities across the country.

Dang Le Truc Linh with 1050/1200 points in the capacity assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 and Nguyen Vu Hoang Phuc with 28.5/30 points in the high school graduation exam in 2025 are the two valedictorians of the school this year.

This year, the school enrolls students through three methods: direct admission and priority admission, the HCM City National University Competency Assessment Exam, and the high school graduation exam. Currently, the International University has 10 faculties, 2 departments, with 23 undergraduate training majors, along with 11 master's programs and 5 doctoral programs.

Every year, the school awards nearly VND10 billion in scholarships to outstanding students. In the 2025-2026 school year alone, about VND7 billion in scholarships will be awarded to encourage new students who achieved high results in the recent entrance exam.
