The Month of Action for Children 2025 takes place from June 1 to June 30 with the theme "Prioritizing resources to achieve goals for children" to enhance the responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society in the work of caring for, educating and protecting children, ensuring the comprehensive development of children. Sectors and localities in the province organize a series of meaningful and practical activities, contributing to raising social awareness and providing more comprehensive care for children - the future generation of the country.

The province currently has 486,000 children, accounting for 25.7% of the population; of which there are over 4,573 children in special circumstances, 3,465 children with severe and extremely severe disabilities, more than 8,000 children living in poor households and 35,997 children at risk of falling into special circumstances. In recent years, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee have always paid attention to and directed sectors, organizations and localities to do a good job of protecting and caring for children. In response to the Month of Action for Children in 2025, from April 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 76/KH-UBND directing sectors, organizations and localities to organize activities in response to the theme "Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children" in a solemn, practical, economical and effective manner. Organize communication activities, training courses to raise awareness of all levels, sectors and society in solving children's issues and preventing and minimizing the risks of child abuse, accidents and injuries, especially drowning and traffic accidents; enhance awareness and skills of children, families and communities to join hands in building a safe, friendly and healthy living environment to fully implement children's rights, ensuring children's comprehensive development. Deploy solutions and operational models on building a safe, friendly and healthy living environment for children, preventing and combating child abuse, protecting children in the online environment; preventing and combating child accidents and injuries, drowning and traffic accidents. Organize recreational, entertainment, physical education, sports and exchange activities for children; forums, conferences, seminars and talks on issues related to children appropriate to the age, maturity and development of children. Mobilize society to implement the movement "All people care for,educate and protect children"; mobilize social resources to support and care for poor children, children with disabilities, and children in special circumstances.

With the assigned responsibility, the Provincial Department of Health has presided over and coordinated with sectors and localities to organize activities in response to the Month of Action for Children in 2025. In particular, promoting propaganda activities for the Month of Action for Children with the theme "Practical actions, prioritizing resources for children"; Children's Law 2016; Directive No. 28-CT/TW dated December 25, 2023 of the Politburo and Plan No. 132-KH/TU dated March 13, 2024 of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the work of caring for, educating and protecting children to meet the requirements of developing a prosperous and happy country. Presiding over advising the Provincial People's Committee to launch a movement for the whole population to participate in supporting the Children's Support Fund and implementing activities to care for children in special circumstances to ensure timeliness and effectiveness. From the mobilized funds, the Children's Support Fund has organized many meaningful programs and activities for children such as: Giving scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties, orphans, and disabled students; coordinating to organize free screening and surgery for children with congenital facial deformities, congenital heart disease, and motor disabilities...; supporting wheelchairs and assistive devices for children with disabilities, giving bicycles, school supplies, and necessities to children on occasions such as: Lunar New Year, International Children's Day June 1, opening of the new school year, Mid-Autumn Festival... Responding to the Month of Action for Children 2025, the Children's Support Fund organized a meeting and presented gifts to 100 children in special circumstances, poor children who have overcome difficulties, each gift including 1 million VND and in-kind items...; encouraging them to continue to strive to excel in their studies and life. At the same time, continue to spread the message: Love, share and take practical actions to protect, care for and educate children in the community.

Also on this occasion, the Department of Health coordinated with the People's Committees of districts and cities to organize training courses to improve knowledge and skills in protecting and caring for children for nearly 1,500 parents and caregivers; organized 4 training courses on knowledge of children's rights, self-protection skills, prevention of abuse and prevention of accidents and injuries, drowning for 400 children in My Tan commune (Nam Dinh city). Through the training courses, it contributes to raising awareness and skills in protecting children for parents and caregivers in the community; equipping children with knowledge to protect themselves, avoid risks of abuse, prevent accidents and injuries, creating a safe and healthy living environment for children to study, practice and develop comprehensively. The Department of Health shall proactively coordinate with sectors and localities to strengthen the inspection of the implementation of children's rights, proactively prevent and resolve cases of child abuse, mistreatment and violence at the grassroots level. Promote propaganda activities on the prevention and control of summer epidemics, medical examination and treatment for children, paying special attention to children with epidemics, malnutrition, disabled children, children who are victims of toxic chemicals, children infected with HIV, children who are sexually abused, abused, children with injuries, and poor children. Direct local health units to effectively implement the "Micronutrient Day for Children" and the Children's Vaccination Program, ensuring that children are fully vaccinated at the right age; organize regular medical examinations and treatment for children under 24 months of age according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health ; increase the provision of quality health services for children.

Together with the health sector, localities, departments, branches and organizations based on their assigned functions and tasks also simultaneously deployed meaningful activities in response to the Month of Action for Children. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the summer, Children's Olympic Day and launched a campaign for the whole population to practice swimming, prevent and combat drowning in the province in 2025, calling for the promotion of the role and responsibility of all levels, branches, families, schools and the whole society in developing the movement of teaching and learning to swim and the work of preventing and combating drowning in children. Directing the organization of cultural, recreational, entertainment, physical education and sports activities to ensure safety and health for children; inspecting and examining activities, products, means of information and communication for children and related to the protection, care and education of children. The Education and Training sector focuses on integrating children's rights education into summer activities, organizing drawing competitions, and "Safe Childhood" playgrounds at many primary and secondary schools in the area. Educating and disseminating legal knowledge about children's rights and responsibilities; educating and equipping them with life skills, self-protection skills, preventing school violence, methods of handling cases of violence, child abuse and preventing and combating accidents and injuries for students, teachers, and educational institution managers; implementing psychological support activities, school counseling and social work activities to protect children in general education institutions. The Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union Council promote volunteer activities such as: awarding "Tiep suc den truong" scholarships, supporting poor children to overcome difficulties; Organize fun, useful, practical summer activities, promote the participation of children in families, schools, communities, residential areas and children's movement activities... The provincial police promote propaganda and organize the effective implementation of the program to prevent and combat crimes of trafficking in women and children; coordinate with relevant departments, branches, and localities to support, intervene, and protect the safety of children who are victims of abuse; prevent recidivism, manage, and educate children and minors who violate the law; fight against crimes of child abuse. Direct the investigation and timely handling of cases of child abuse, mistreatment, violence, and trafficking.

Through specific activities in the month of action for children in 2025 of sectors and localities, it has made an important contribution to raising awareness of the whole society about the task of protecting, caring for and educating children, spreading the message: Love, share and take practical actions to protect, care for and educate children, ensuring children's comprehensive development, meeting the requirements of long-term national development.
