In the 2024-2025 school year, Bien Hoa city has 224 schools from kindergarten to junior high school, including 130 kindergartens (36 public schools, 94 private schools), 57 primary schools (54 public schools, 3 private schools), 35 junior high schools (34 public schools, 1 private school) and 1 private middle school. In addition, the city also has 463 private independent groups and classes; 8 multi-level private schools, 1 gifted sports school, 1 general pedagogical practice school (teaching primary and junior high school programs) directly managed by the Department of Education and Training.
Last school year, the city still had a situation where some schools had to borrow classrooms from other educational institutions, had to combine classes or had to use all functional rooms as classrooms to avoid having to take the third shift.
In addition, there is a shortage of teachers in some subjects, at preschool level, and a shortage of school staff compared to practical needs; the number of teachers is not suitable for the actual situation of the city's education and training sector. Although the facilities at primary level have been invested in, they have not yet met the requirements of implementing the 2018 General Education Program, have not ensured the rate of teaching 2 sessions/day, and the average number of students per class in primary schools is still high.
To stabilize operations and ensure conditions for preparation for the 2025-2026 school year when organizing the implementation of a two-level local government, the Department of Education and Training of Bien Hoa City requests that agencies and units assigned with educational management functions continue to pay attention to implementing a number of urgent contents such as: continuing to direct public kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools to organize recruitment and job transfers based on the number of staff assigned in 2025 to ensure there are enough teachers and staff according to regulations. At the same time, continue to review school facilities to ensure compliance with regulations and in accordance with the actual situation.
