Many exciting activities at the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of Ancient Citadel

From September 13 to October 4 (July 22 - August 13 of the lunar calendar), the People's Committee of Son Tay Ward will organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ancient Citadel - Son Tay Xu Doai" in 2025 at the Walking Street, Cultural Center Square and the area around Son Tay Ancient Citadel.

The program is expected to have many rich and attractive contents such as: Organizing a Mid-Autumn Festival model and lantern parade competition and activities on Saturday evenings including: September 13 (July 22 of the lunar calendar) organizing a competition with the participation of 19 residential groups in a Mid-Autumn Festival model parade (phase 1); September 20 (July 29 of the lunar calendar) organizing a competition with the participation of 19 residential groups in a Mid-Autumn Festival model parade (phase 2); September 27 (August 6 of the lunar calendar): Organizing a competition with the participation of 19 residential groups in a Mid-Autumn Festival model parade (phase 3) and giving gifts to children, prioritizing children in difficult circumstances...

The program is organized with a series of activities: lion, dragon dance performances; a contest for beautiful Mid-Autumn lantern models and a parade modeled after historical figures, folk legends, favorite animals in fairy tales, fables, as well as images considered cultural symbols, typical products of units...

Under the talented and creative hands of the people, the Mid-Autumn lantern models are not only beautiful in form but also have educational significance, helping children and tourists understand more about the national culture, so that each Son Tay resident is more proud of the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of Ancient Citadel - Son Tay Xu Doai".

Participating in the Program, children will participate in experiential activities such as: making star lanterns, lanterns; making clay figurines; making moon cakes; playing folk games; taking photos of mid-autumn festival miniatures...

The highlight of the event is the Art Program "Full Moon Festival - Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ancient Citadel - Son Tay Xu Doai" taking place from 7:30 p.m. on October 4 (Saturday, August 13 of the lunar calendar) at the Main Stage of the Walking Street of the Ancient Citadel of Son Tay with the participation of the lantern model parade of 57 residential groups, combined with the award ceremony of the Mid-Autumn Lantern Model Competition; Lion-Unicorn-Dragon Dance performance.

The leader of the People's Committee of Son Tay Ward said that the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ancient Citadel - Son Tay Xu Doai" is one of the events that has become a unique brand of Son Tay. The content of the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ancient Citadel - Son Tay Xu Doai" in 2025 is organized in conjunction with the space of the Walking Street around the moat of Son Tay Ancient Citadel, aiming to preserve and promote traditional cultural values and restore the beauty of the old Hanoi Mid-Autumn Festival; create a cultural space and tourist destination for the people of Son Tay and neighboring areas.

The program "Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ancient Citadel - Son Tay Xu Doai" in 2025 creates a joyful and safe atmosphere and brings children a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival; at the same time, it also raises awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and communities in the work of protecting, caring for and educating children; encourages the spirit of learning and training of children, pays special attention to children in difficult circumstances, and helps them integrate into the community./.
