This is the first national recognition event in this field.
The titles include: Vietnamese Culinary Culture Artisan, Elite Artisan, National Artisan, and two special categories: Researcher and Ambassador of Vietnamese Culinary Culture. This is a recognition for individuals who have made outstanding contributions to preserving, creating and promoting the quintessence of national cuisine .
VCCA Chairman Nguyen Quoc Ky said that the award is not only to honor artisans and chefs, but also a strategy to affirm the Vietnamese culinary brand on the world map, while promoting the transmission of skills and training of the younger generation.

The highlight of the program is the transparent, non-profit and fee-free selection process. The evaluation board includes experts, researchers, leading artisans and representatives of management agencies.
According to VCCA, the program aims to build a national culinary brand, considering cuisine as both a cultural and spiritual value and a driving force for economic development, tourism and creative industries. This is also the first step towards the National Culinary Award.
Application period is from August 10 to October 30; The award ceremony is expected to take place in November 2025.
