* Investing capital in technology
The story of Mrs. Tran Cam Nhung's family in Vinh Tuong commune, Can Tho city is a typical example of realizing the dream of sustainable wealth from rice.
Mrs. Nhung’s family has been making a living from the rice business and providing rice drying services for many years. Born and raised in the largest rice granary in the country, Mrs. Nhung and her husband have a deep understanding of the seasons as well as rice cultivation techniques. Thanks to their diligence in production and dynamic business, the family’s economy is always stable.
However, the real turning point came when the couple boldly borrowed capital from Agribank to invest in expanding the rice storage and installing two new technology drying towers. This is an advanced type of equipment, capable of drying evenly - quickly - saving space - highly automated and maintaining the quality of agricultural products after drying. In particular, the equipment can also be used for many types of agricultural products and flexibly adjusts to many different drying modes.
Agribank staff visited the tower drying kiln of Ms. Tran Cam Nhung's family (Vinh Tuong commune, Can Tho city).
This strategic investment quickly brought about outstanding results, completely changing the scale and performance of the family business.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Ngoc, Mrs. Nhung's husband, shared: "With a drying capacity of 110 tons/12 hours, in addition to the purchased rice, the family also receives drying orders for people in the area, combined with rice storage rental services. Thanks to that, the family's income has increased significantly."
The business is invested in properly, expanded in scale and developed stably, helping the family have enough to eat and save, while also creating seasonal jobs for dozens of local workers during the harvest season.
Mr. Ngoc added: "In the near future, my family plans to expand the warehouse by 2,000 m², increasing the total area to 9,000 m², both to handle the amount of purchased rice and to support warehouses for households in the same profession but do not have the conditions to invest in infrastructure."
* Develop production - purchase - consumption model
In addition to investing heavily in advanced production models and applying automation to improve productivity and quality of agricultural products, Agribank also plays a pioneering role in forming and developing agricultural product value chains.
Thanks to access to capital from Agribank, Mr. Ho Hoang Thuan’s family (Binh Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province) has risen to stabilize their life in the border area, where nearly 30 years ago, when he and his wife came to start a business, they had nothing. Currently, Mr. Nghiep owns more than 5 hectares of land growing lemons and rice and also provides agricultural product purchasing services.
Mr. Thuan's production - purchasing - consumption model not only helps his family's economy become more prosperous but also spreads community values, supporting many local seasonal workers to have more income, especially during the harvest season.

Agribank has preferential interest rates, clear procedures, and easy access. Thanks to that, my wife and I feel secure in investing in expanding production areas and expanding agricultural product purchasing and consumption activities for local farmers."
