Nghe An issues telegram directing response to tropical depression

Faced with the possibility that the tropical depression could strengthen into a storm, at 4 p.m. today, June 10, Nghe An issued dispatch No. 02/CD-UBND, directing proactive response measures.

According to the bulletin of the Nghe An Province Hydrometeorological Station, on the morning of June 10, 2025, the low pressure area in the North East Sea strengthened into a tropical depression. At 1:00 p.m. on June 10, the center of the tropical depression was at about 15.3 degrees North latitude; 114.8 degrees East longitude, about 360 km East Southeast of the Hoang Sa archipelago.

The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6-7, gusting to level 9. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move in the West Northwest direction at a speed of about 5-10 km/h, wind level 8, gusting to level 10 and is likely to strengthen into a storm.

Implementing the Official Dispatch No. 2969/CD-BNNMT dated June 10 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on responding to the tropical depression in the East Sea ; to proactively respond to the tropical depression , minimize damage, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention , Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of districts , towns , Vinh city and Departments and branches :

Strictly implement Official Dispatch No. 17/CD-UBND dated June 2 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on proactively preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the coming time.

Closely monitor the development of the tropical depression ; strictly manage means of transport going out to sea; organize counting, notify owners of means of transport, captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and development of the tropical depression to proactively avoid, escape or not move into the dangerous area. Dangerous area in the next 24 hours: From 13.0-19.0 degrees North latitude, 111.0-117.0 degrees East longitude (dangerous area is adjusted in forecast bulletins).

At the same time, prepare forces and means for rescue when required.

Agencies: Provincial Radio and Television Station, Nghe An Newspaper, Ben Thuy Coastal Information Station and mass media increase information about the development of the tropical depression to authorities at all levels, owners of vehicles operating at sea and people to know to proactively prevent and respond.

Departments and branches, according to their functions, state management tasks and assigned tasks, proactively direct and coordinate with localities to respond to tropical depressions .

Organize on- duty seriously, regularly report to the Provincial Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense .
