Second working day and closing session of the 13th Party Central Committee Conference

The Party Central Committee commented on and approved the content of the Politburo 's acceptance and explanation; commented on the introduction of leadership personnel for a number of state agencies for the 2021-2026 term.

On January 24, the Party Central Committee continued working at the Hall.

Comrade Pham Minh Chinh , Politburo member and Prime Minister, chaired the discussion on the following contents:

(1) Summary report on the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.

(2) Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Politburo and Secretariat in 2024.

(3) Supplementary project on socio-economic development in 2025 with a growth target of 8% or more.

(4) Project to supplement the 5-year assessment report on the implementation of the 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021-2030, directions and tasks for socio-economic development in the 5-year period 2026-2030 with the growth target of the 2026-2030 period reaching double digits continuously in each year.

The Politburo and the Secretariat met to give opinions on receiving and explaining the Central Committee's discussion ideas at the Conference.

Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, on behalf of the Politburo, presented the Politburo's Report on the reception and explanation of the Central Committee's opinions on: Report summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient, and Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat in 2024.

Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government presented the Politburo's Report on receiving and explaining the Central Committee's opinions on: The supplementary project on socio-economic development in 2025 with a growth target of 8% or more and the supplementary project on the 5-year assessment report on the implementation of the 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021-2030, the direction and tasks of socio-economic development in the 5 years 2026-2030 with the growth target of the 2026-2030 period reaching double digits continuously in the years.

The Party Central Committee gave opinions and approved the content of the Politburo's acceptance and explanation; gave opinions on the introduction of leadership personnel of a number of state agencies for the 2021-2026 term so that the Politburo could officially introduce them to the National Assembly for election and approval according to regulations.

The Party Central Committee passed the Resolution of the 13th Party Central Committee Conference.
