Journalist Thu Thuong.
In the past, traveling in Tuyen Quang was very difficult, traveling every day on motorbikes, sometimes it took a whole day to get to Na Hang district, my colleague and I, who was a cameraman, shared a motorbike with our personal belongings, I sat behind holding the camera, tripod and many other things, now there is also a Flycam so the stuff piled up higher than the face.
The work is busy, the pressure is high, there are times when the province organizes big conferences or important events, the whole team works all night, within just 12 hours we complete a large program with guaranteed quality, highly appreciated by the provincial leaders. Therefore, even though many days we return home at 1, 2 am, even 5 am, everyone feels very happy when they have completed the assigned tasks.
From many years of working, I have found that female journalists have many advantages, perhaps in the way they talk, their gentleness, so when they go to the workplace, they work quite smoothly and are shared a lot by the people. Thanks to that, I have found good topics and attractive themes to work on. That is also the factor that helped me win many awards in national and provincial journalism competitions. Among them, it is a great honor that I and the group of authors Ngoc Toan, Thuy Ha, Mai Hoa won the Encouragement Prize of the 19th National Journalism Award in 2024 and were awarded on the day of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, June 21 this year.
Looking back on the journey I have taken, I see that the career path of a female journalist is bumpy and difficult, but if I had to choose again, I would still choose journalism.
