Vietnam is ready to promote its role as a partner within the BRICS framework.

“Vietnam has officially become a partner country of BRICS. With this role, Vietnam is ready to join BRICS member countries and the international community in promoting cooperation and mobilizing resources to promote priority issues of developing countries today such as: trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, taking advantage of scientific and technological advances for development, people-to-people exchange, contributing to the implementation of sustainable development goals and responding to common global challenges,” Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang affirmed at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 19.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang affirmed that Vietnam is ready to actively participate in cooperation activities within the BRICS framework.

According to Ms. Pham Thu Hang: "Vietnam is also ready to coordinate and connect the above-mentioned cooperation programs of the BRICS group with relevant multilateral mechanisms, thereby contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region as well as in the world ."
