Up to now, the average income per capita of My Thuan commune has reached 69.66 million VND/year, an increase of 20.66 million VND compared to 2020. The commune sets a target of striving for an average income of 110 million VND/year by 2030.
To help people increase their income, the commune has restructured the agricultural sector towards applying high technology, safe production and adapting to climate change. As a result, nearly 245 hectares of rice and vegetable land have been converted to grow fruit trees with high economic value.
The whole commune has 21 growing area codes for key crops, creating favorable conditions for linking production and consumption. There are 3 products that meet OCOP standards: golden star apple, milky white sweet potato and Chinese sausage, contributing to increasing people's income.
Livestock farming continues to be maintained and developed in a safe, environmentally friendly direction; disinfection and disease surveillance are enhanced. The commune has developed highly economically efficient livestock farming models such as concentrated chicken farming, civet farming, goat farming and striped snakehead fish farming in garden ponds.
The small-scale industry sector has developed quite well. Traditional industries are maintained, the commune always creates conditions for businesses and establishments to expand production scale in the mechanical and repair industries.
Actively coordinate the implementation of industrial promotion policies, encourage technological innovation, improve product quality and competitiveness, create jobs and stable income for local workers. Currently, the whole commune has 173 small-scale industrial establishments, an increase of 108 establishments compared to 2020.
