MV “APT.” by Rosé (Blackpink) and Bruno Mars continues to reach new milestones after 6 months of release.
According to Soompi, at around 8:00 p.m. on April 20, Korean time, MV “APT.” has officially surpassed 1.5 billion views on YouTube. The music video for “APT.” was released on October 18, 2024 and took only about 6 months and 2 days (or 184 days) to achieve this feat.
“APT.” continues to help Rosé (Blackpink) extend her record, becoming the fastest MV by an Asian artist and a K-pop artist to surpass 1.5 billion views. PSY previously held this record, with the MV “Gangnam Style” reaching 1.5 billion views after 264 days.
“APT.” is now tied with J Balvin and Willy Williams’ “Mi Gente” as the third fastest music video to reach 1.5 billion views (both in 184 days), after Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” featuring Daddy Yankee and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You.”
Previously, the milestone of the fastest MV to reach 1 billion views on YouTube by an Asian artist was also broken by Rosé, when the MV "APT." only needed 105 days to achieve this achievement.
Recently, Rosé is the only Kpop artist honored by TIME Magazine in the Top 100 Most Influential People of 2025 (TIME100), along with famous figures in many fields such as US President Donald Trump, billionaire Elon Musk, actors and singers such as Scarlett Johansson, Adrien Brody, Blake Lively, Demi Moore, Snoop Dogg, Ed Sheeran...
There is much speculation that Rosé is working on a new music project, as the singer was seen attending a recording session on Las Vegas Boulevard (USA) and was tagged by several musicians and producers on Instagram with photos in the studio.
On social media viral rumor Rosé participated in singing the soundtrack for the movie “F1” directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, scheduled to be released in late June. The filming in Las Vegas could be for the music video of “F1”.
In addition, fans are looking forward to the upgraded version of the album “rosie” that Rosé once promised to release. According to initial information, this album version will have a total of 15 songs, not just stopping at 12 songs like the standard version released in November 2024.
