Recently, leaker @That_Kartikey revealed that Xiaomi's upcoming vertically folding smartphone will have a larger battery capacity of around 5,600 to 5,700 mAh - this is a notable improvement over the 4,780 mAh battery that powers the MIX Flip. The source revealed that Xiaomi seems to be trying to fit this large battery into a thinner body. MIX Flip 2 is even lighter than the first generation model (Xiaomi MIX Flip) with a body that is 7.6mm thick and weighs 190g).

If the MIX Flip is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, Leaker Digital Chat Station revealed that the successor model will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This could be the only vertical folding screen smartphone equipped with this chip, after launch the phone can compete directly with the Z Flip7.

Another post by the leaker on Weibo shared: MIX Flip 2 will be equipped with wireless charging, a feature that was not available on the first generation. The device is expected to have an IPX8 rating for water resistance, and a thinner and more flexible body than its predecessor.
