In order to build the National Defense Academy into a truly leading center of education , training, scientific research, and international cooperation of the Army and the country, with high prestige in the region and internationally, in recent years, the building of a strong and clean Party organization has always been comprehensively and synchronously implemented by the Party Committee of the Academy and achieved many important results.

Party organizations are regularly built, consolidated, perfected, and made clean and strong in terms of politics , ideology, ethics, organization, and cadres. Regularly and seriously implement resolutions, directives, and regulations of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission on Party building work; proactively and effectively train and raise awareness among cadres and party members about the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, build a firm ideological stance, be steadfast in Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, the goal of national independence and socialism, the Party's renewal policy, be steadfast in the principles of Party building, and be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State, and the people. Proactively consolidate, perfect, and improve the comprehensive leadership capacity and high fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels, perfect Party committees in conjunction with leading cadres at all levels, to meet the requirements of the tasks. During the 2020-2025 term, 98% of party organizations and party members completed their tasks well and excellently, an increase of 0.4% compared to the 2015-2020 term.

Leaders of the National Defense Academy awarded awards to individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year and the first 6 months of 2025.

The Party Committee of the Academy has had many policies and breakthrough solutions to improve the quality of cadres and lecturers in all aspects to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Party committees, party organizations, and party committee members at all levels have actively innovated, built leadership styles and methods, and worked in a scientific , democratic manner close to the grassroots level, always been pioneers, exemplary, said and done, promoted proactiveness, creativity, dared to think, dared to speak, dared to do, dared to take responsibility, dared to innovate, dared to face difficulties and challenges, and dared to act for the common good; all leadership activities adhere to principles and are implemented in accordance with resolutions and regulations.

From the results achieved in the work of building the Party organization at the National Defense Academy for the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Academy draws the following experiences:

Firstly, regularly consolidate and perfect the Party Committees in terms of quantity, quality and reasonable structure. This is the basic and most important experience in building a clean and strong Party organization. Accordingly, it is necessary to attach importance to consolidating and perfecting the Party Committees in terms of quantity, quality and structure. The number of Party Committees is an important factor, closely related to the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committees and Party organizations. Therefore, Party Committees and Party organizations shall base on the Party Charter, resolutions, directives, regulations of the Party and specific leadership requirements to determine the appropriate number of Party Committee members. The Party Committee structure must ensure comprehensiveness among leaders and commanders, in order to promote collective intelligence and ensure comprehensiveness in the leadership activities of the Party Committees; ensure continuity and inheritance in leadership.

To consolidate and perfect the Party Committee, quality standards must be the main criteria; the Party Committee standards must be comprehensive, but the most important are political qualities, revolutionary ethics and working capacity. To consolidate and perfect the Party Committee, it is necessary to focus on leading, directing and organizing Party Congresses and Party cells in accordance with regulations; regularly do a good job of managing, training and educating Party Committee members in both qualities and capacity; closely combine the consolidation and perfection of the Party Committee with the perfection of cadres, especially cadres in charge at all levels.

Second, regularly foster the political mettle, revolutionary ethics, knowledge level, and comprehensive capacity of the Party Committee and each Party Committee member. Regularly foster political stance, steadfastness in the goal of national independence and socialism, absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the Party, the people, and the socialist regime; strictly abide by and implement the principle of democratic centralism, steadfastly and determinedly carry out successfully the cause of innovation, industrialization, modernization of the country, building and firmly defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam. Well organize the research, study, and thorough implementation of the Central Committee's resolutions and conclusions on Party building and rectification and the political system in conjunction with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle and promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, resolutely fighting against individualism in the new situation.

Foster and improve the comprehensive knowledge level of Party committees and organizations at all levels, first of all the level of mastering, creatively applying and developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought; inheriting and promoting the fine traditions of the nation and the Army; absorbing the quintessence of culture and new knowledge of humanity. Pay attention to improving the level of mastering the Party's guidelines and viewpoints on military and defense strategies; new developments in military science and art, military social sciences and humanities, first of all the art of campaign and strategic warfare; Party work, political work and necessary knowledge on economic management, law, digital transformation, innovation...; on that basis, propose correct and creative leadership policies and solutions and successfully carry out assigned tasks.

Third, focus on building a strong team of cadres and lecturers, especially cadres in charge of leadership and command, equal to the task. With the goal of building a team of cadres and lecturers, especially cadres in charge of leadership and command at all levels, with strong political will, absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State, the people and the socialist regime; with pure moral qualities, strict sense of organization and discipline; with comprehensive knowledge and capacity, good health and suitable age; with reasonable quantity and structure; ensuring a solid transition between generations, meeting the requirements according to the responsibilities and organizational needs. Party committees and organizations at all levels must closely follow the Party's guidelines and policies on cadre work, requiring improvement of the quality of training and scientific research of the Academy to promote responsibility in building a team of cadres. Focus on building a team of leading officials and experts in national defense and military at regional and international levels; focus on fostering political qualities, ethics, teaching style, thinking capacity, and practical experience.

Fourth, attach importance to innovating working methods and styles of Party committees and organizations. To innovate working methods and styles of Party committees and organizations, it is necessary to focus on maintaining the regime and improving the quality of Party committee and organization activities; focusing on selecting activities that are close, correct, focused, and key; usually, each conference focuses on one or two most practical issues. Strictly adhere to the stages of the leadership process: Careful preparation; promoting intellectual democracy in discussions and resolutions; scientific, specific, and practical in organization and implementation; close inspection, strict supervision, and order; timely summarization, conclusion, and experience drawing. Implement well the motto of starting from practice, saying goes hand in hand with doing, democracy and discipline, respecting the collective, being decisive, and daring to take responsibility.

Focus on innovating the process of making resolutions, organizing the implementation of resolutions and inspecting and supervising the implementation of resolutions by Party committees and organizations. Overcoming limitations such as: The content of the meeting has not been carefully prepared, the discussion is still general, important and sensitive issues are not concluded clearly, avoided; and the issues of principles are not specifically voted on. Innovating the process of organizing the implementation of resolutions, focusing on improving the way of studying and thoroughly understanding resolutions to make them practical, suitable to the characteristics, conditions, and objects, avoiding stereotypes and machines. The program and action plan to implement the resolution must be specific, highly feasible, and promote the responsibility of the individual in charge.

Fifth, to carry out well the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work. "Inspection and supervision are the leadership functions of the Party. Leadership without inspection and supervision is considered as having no leadership." Therefore, in order to build exemplary clean and strong Party organizations, Party committees, Party organizations, Party members and Inspection Committees at all levels in the Party Committee of the Academy need to continue to innovate and improve awareness, responsibility, quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work. To carry out well the motto of supervision, it is necessary to expand, inspect with focus and key points, concentrating on the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of resolutions, directives, conclusions, charters, principles, regulations and leadership regulations of the Party; attach importance to inspecting and supervising the exemplary responsibility of cadres and Party members, especially cadres in charge, heads of Party committees and commanders at all levels.

Inspection and supervision work must be in accordance with principles and procedures, objective and impartial, clearly pointing out advantages and disadvantages, and clearly defining responsibilities. Timely detecting, resolutely preventing, and strictly handling cadres and party members who violate discipline and the law, degrade political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; closely combining construction and prevention. Reviewing and resolving petitions, complaints, and denunciations, ensuring compliance with principles and regulations, contributing to maintaining discipline in the Party.

Building a clean and strong Party organization in the Party Committee of the National Defense Academy is a key task, ensuring the Party's comprehensive leadership role in all activities. Through practice, the Party Committee of the Academy has accumulated many valuable experiences, which are the basis for improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee and organization, maintaining the Party's leadership role. Continuing to promote, apply and expand the above experiences is a key factor to improve the quality of training, scientific research and combat readiness, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation, creating a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of the Academy.
