The North had a lot of rain last week, some places had heavy rain due to the influence of storm Wipha, the tropical convergence zone connected to storm Co May. The total rainfall from 7pm on July 21 to 7am today was generally 200-300mm, some places had more rain such as: Bat Xat ( Lao Cai ) 348mm, Phu Le (Ninh Binh) 346mm.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said the tropical convergence zone has weakened, the low pressure area in the west is developing and expanding to the east, causing heat waves in the North from tomorrow until August 1. During this heat wave, the highest temperature will be 35-37 degrees Celsius, with some places reaching over 38 degrees Celsius.

The American website Accuweather predicts that Hanoi's temperature this week will range from 27-37 degrees Celsius. High points above 1,500 such as Sa Pa (Lao Cai) will be 20-26 degrees Celsius.

In the Central region , the North Central region will have hot weather at the beginning of the week, with the highest temperature being 35-36 degrees Celsius. From July 29, the hot low zone will expand to the south, causing widespread heat in the Thanh Hoa - Hue region, the east of Quang Ngai province, and Dak Lak.

The heat wave in the Central region occurred later than in the North, but is forecast to last longer, until August 3-4.

The Central Highlands and the South will continue to be affected by the southwest monsoon with medium intensity next week, so in the coming days there will be showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon.

The highest temperature during the day in the Central Highlands at the beginning of the week is 29-31 degrees Celsius, in the middle and at the end of the week it is 29-33 degrees; in the South it is 32-34 degrees, in the Southeast it is locally hot at the end of the week, the highest temperature during the day is 35 degrees Celsius.
