Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 11's Mail and Calendar apps after December 31. Users will have to switch to the Outlook web app.

Microsoft will shut down the Mail and Calendar apps in Windows 11, meaning users will no longer be able to send/receive emails or manage calendars using these apps after December 31.

Hai ứng dụng Mail và Calendar trên Windows 11 sẽ không còn được Microsoft hỗ trợ sau ngày 31/12
The Mail and Calendar apps on Windows 11 will no longer be supported by Microsoft after December 31.

Users are being directed to switch to the Outlook web app. It seems Microsoft is aiming to bring all email and calendar features into a single app on all Windows devices.

If you still want to use these two applications after the above period, users can go to Outlook > Settings > General > About Outlook to turn off the New Outlook setting.

However, this will be a “read-only” mode, allowing users to view emails, drafts, contacts, and other information in Mail and Calendar. When they need to send/receive emails, they will be redirected to Outlook.

So, starting January 1, 2025, users will need to switch to the new Outlook or a third-party app. To export emails, events, and contacts from Mail and Calendar to Outlook, use the Export feature in both apps.

Outlook doesn't currently support working offline. Microsoft may add this in the coming weeks.
