The training program for referee supervisors and referees of national professional football tournaments for the 2025/26 season closed on the afternoon of August 6 in Hanoi .

Referee Supervisors, Referees Pass "Test" Before 2025/26 Season

According to VFF Referee Board Head Dang Thanh Ha, after 5 days of serious and responsible training, the "Kings of the Field" passed the FIFA-standard physical fitness test, updated the new competition rules, evaluated and learned from the previous season's management, and practiced field situations.

A total of 58 referees and assistant referees and 14 referee supervisors completed the entire training; 7 cases did not meet the physical requirements. The number of referee supervisors and "Kings of the Field" who completed the training will be assigned to work in the V-League and the National First Division 2025/26.

VFF requires the "King of the Field" force to be brave, maintain a stable and continuous physical foundation in the new football season.

In his closing speech, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and seriousness of the supervisors and referees throughout the training program. Mr. Tuan emphasized that the 2025/26 season is expected to have great competition and pressure. Therefore, the referee force needs to maintain a steady spirit and maintain a stable physical foundation on a regular and continuous basis.

Also at the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee held a minute of silence to remember referee Tran Dinh Thinh - who suddenly passed away during a physical test at the training program on the morning of August 3.

Referee Tran Dinh Thinh passed away . Despite receiving timely emergency care after experiencing health problems during a fitness test before the 2025/26 season, referee Tran Dinh Thinh did not survive.
