What does Meta say about a series of Facebook groups being 'disappeared'?

On the morning of June 25, a Meta representative responded to the situation of a series of groups on the social network Facebook being suspended. Accordingly, the company confirmed that a technical problem caused a series of groups on Facebook to be suddenly suspended from the afternoon of June 24.

“We have noticed a technical issue affecting some Facebook groups. We are currently working to fix this issue,” a Meta representative told a reporter from VietnamPlus.

The world's largest social network did not specify the cause, but some technology experts believe the situation may be due to Facebook's increased censorship using AI.

Previously, from the afternoon of June 24, many Facebook groups in Vietnam as well as around the world, including groups with hundreds of thousands of members, were suspended, renamed, or stopped operating. Many administrators' personal accounts had their features restricted, they could not send messages, and fanpages linked to the groups were also locked.

The reason given by the world's largest social network is: "the group has had some activities that do not comply with the principles". Most of the groups were suspended this time "due to violations of the Community Standards on dangerous individuals and organizations."

In 2022, a series of Facebook accounts were also locked and could not be appealed. The Meta spokesperson at that time also admitted that the cause was a technical error./.
