On the afternoon of June 16, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially presented the decision to recognize the position of Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music to Dr. People's Artist Do Quoc Hung.

At the ceremony, the two brothers, People's Artist Quoc Hung and People's Artist Do Hien, invited their mother to the stage and presented her with a bouquet of flowers to express their gratitude for her hard work in raising their son to become the man he is today. His mother could not hide her tears of happiness on her son's happy day.
People's Artist Quoc Hung shared with VietNamNet reporter: "My father passed away when my mother was only 38 years old, the most mature, gentle and emotional age of a woman. But my mother stopped all her passions to raise my siblings and me alone. Therefore, at every milestone on my artistic path, I want to say my most loving thanks to my mother."

Speaking at the ceremony, People's Artist Quoc Hung expressed his honor and emotion when he was officially assigned the responsibility of leading one of the leading academic music training units in the country. He expressed his gratitude to the leaders at all levels for their trust and the academy's collective trust, as well as to the generations of teachers, staff, artists and researchers who have contributed to building the tradition and position of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
Looking back on nearly 70 years of formation and development, the Vietnam National Academy of Music has trained many generations of artists, teachers, composers, and music researchers who have made important contributions to the country's music industry. As the largest academic music training center in the country, the academy has always been a pioneer in the professional music education system, and at the same time is a place to preserve, create, and spread national musical values in the flow of integration.
In that pride, People's Artist Quoc Hung also expressed the concern and sense of responsibility of the next generation "not only to inherit but also to innovate, not only to preserve but also to develop and integrate internationally".
The new Director especially emphasized the role of music training in the country's sustainable cultural development strategy.

According to him, this is the direction for the academy to affirm its mission in the new period - not only training excellent artists and music educators but also developing research projects on musicology, folk and contemporary music; opening the door to integration with world art.
In his new position, People's Artist Quoc Hung proposed three key orientations: Improving training quality, focusing on talent and artistic qualities; Promoting international cooperation, enhancing academic integration; Promoting the role of the academy in developing the cultural industry, contributing to shaping the country's contemporary musical life.
"We will constantly innovate to maintain the academy as a symbol of the quintessence of Vietnamese music, as well as a source of creativity and sustainable development in an era of strong changes in art and technology," People's Artist Quoc Hung emphasized.
