Diagnosis like a "thump" on the dream of motherhood
Ms. Duong Thi Mung (born in 1997, Bac Ninh ) got married early with the hope of having children soon. But for many years after that, the good news still did not come. When she went to the doctor, she felt like she fell into a deep pit of despair: her husband had deformed sperm, completely immobile, and she had polycystic ovary syndrome, one of the leading causes of infertility in women. These diagnoses were like a "rock" weighing down on the shoulders of the young couple.

The doctor's diagnosis put the young couple under great mental pressure (Illustration: Istockphoto).
The following years were a series of days when the couple silently underwent treatment, went everywhere to find hope, but the more they went, the more disappointed they became, the more alone they felt on a long journey with no way out. Until an acquaintance introduced her to the Hong Ngoc Yen Ninh IVF Center. Here, she was directly examined by Dr. Pham Thi Thuy Duong - Director of the center and developed a personalized treatment plan.
Four embryo transfers exchanged with tears
Ms. Mung started her IVF journey with great effort and hope. The first time, she only created embryos on day 3, so it was not successful. In the second cycle, she obtained 12 good and good embryos, but the next three transfers still failed: one ectopic pregnancy, one biochemical pregnancy, and one no embryo implantation. Each failure was a defeat, but she never gave up.
“For difficult cases like Ms. Mung’s, what is important is not only medical support but also spiritual companionship. Patients cannot fight alone. We are here to accompany them to the end of the road,” Dr. Pham Thi Thuy Duong shared.

Ms. Mung's family was happy to meet Dr. Pham Thi Thuy Duong again after giving birth to her first child.
It was Ms. Mung's resilient spirit, along with the doctor's close monitoring and timely adjustments to the protocol, that brought about a miracle in the fourth embryo transfer. The pregnancy developed steadily and 9 months later, the chubby baby boy was born to the family's overwhelming happiness.
