Pogba's move to Monaco was a major turning point in his career.

The Real Madrid star publicly backed Pogba’s decision to join Monaco. He shared an Instagram post about Pogba’s move, with the short caption: “Pogback”, along with red and white emojis – Monaco’s colours – and the phrase “Daghe Munegu” (meaning “Go Monaco”).

Mbappe's congratulations suggest Pogba's move to Monaco is almost complete. The Ligue 1 club are close to completing the formalities to sign Pogba on a free transfer this summer. Both parties have agreed to a two-year contract.

For the first time in his career, the midfielder born in 1993 will play in his home league. As for Mbappe, he grew up in Monaco's youth academy and played 60 matches for the club's first team before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
